The American Indian Mental Health Block Grant Manager exists to provide leadership, direction, and coordination for all phases of culturally specific grants and contracts processes, with a focus on mental health issues for American Indians (AI) in Minnesota in accordance with tribal, state and federal policies and regulations. This includes overseeing the pre-award, award, post-award, monitoring, and close-out phases of the grant process in accordance with state and federal laws, regulations, and mandates. This role also involves the development, coordination, and management of request for proposal (RFP) processes; contract drafting and execution; grant monitoring; and providing technical assistance to grantees. The Grants Manager will collaborate with internal teams, Tribal Nations, community leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure culturally specific needs are met effectively. Additionally, this position will partner on targeted activities, projects and outcomes with the Mental Health Policy Team and other Behavioral Health Administration staff, staff from other Department of Human Services divisions and other state agencies. This includes significant stakeholder engagement and program area expertise. The incumbent, reporting directly to the AI Team Manager, will report on various activities, projects, and outcomes to other supervisors and managers within the agency, division or department.
