This position exists to provide direct customer services and support to a wide range of Minnesota Health Care Programs (MHCP) consumers, clients from other department areas, as well as internal and external division stakeholders in order to: • Provide direct assistance through in-person, email, or phone contacts to MHCP consumers; other department clients; and the public. • Complete financial transactions for MinnesotaCare; other MHCP programs such as DACA, MA-EPD, Alternative Care, MSHO, SNBC and other department areas such as Child Support and BRU. • Provide MHCP eligibility program support for internal and external stakeholders.
Communication Skills Strong customer service skills and effective oral and written communication.
Customer Service Skills Two years of customer service experience.
Data Entry Performance Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate multiple software applications, databases, as well as possessing data entry skills.
Development of Administrative and Programmatic Procedures Ability to administer policies, procedures, and systems used to make eligibility determinations.
English Language Ability to read, speak and write English well enough to understand, apply and explain complex eligibility policies.
Math Ability to use math skills to calculate income using multiple sources of documentation.
